Commenced a career as a registered nurse in 1970. Worked for the next 30 years mainly in critical care as a clinical nurse consultant, unit manager and administrator.

I worked as CEO and subsequently Board member of the PA Foundation, a health research foundation funding medical research in Queensland. It was here I met Prof Ian Frazer, a fellow board member, who inspired later initiatives in hpv vaccinations in South Asia.

In November 2007, my husband Michael Wille and I incorporated the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation (ACCF), which is dedicated to eliminating cervical cancer in Australia and certain developing countries. We aim to do this by developing public awareness programs, screening and related women’s health care clinics and by providing hpv vaccine to girls who do not have access to it. ACCF has active programs in Nepal and Bhutan, and is developing programs in Kiribati, Solomon Islands and Timor Leste (these last three are Pacfic Island countries).

I am currently completing a law degree at the Queensland University of Technology, the Hon. Consul for Bhutan in Queensland and the Executive Deputy Chairman of ACCF.
