Albert Singer completed his medical training at Sydney University. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist. He is currently working in the Department of Women´s Health at Whittington Hospital, London, wher he is also co-director of the Coloscopy and Cervical Pathology. His research interests include the aetiological factors for cervical cancer and lower genital tract precancerous lesions, particulartly the role of human papillomavirus and its use in the diagnosis and management of women with cervical cancers. He is also interested in a transcription factor and its possible use as a diagnostic biomarker for cervical cancer and his clinical interests include the role of real-time devics in the detection of cervical pre-cancers. He has published many articles and travels extensively, particularly in Asia.
